In the observation, we have a schedule to observe in the future school, and we experience how the teachers prepared the class,
On my first day of observation, October 4, 2024, I observed class 5Y with Ms. Yen Trinh from 15:25 to 16:05. I witnessed how the teacher motivated the students and maintained discipline by setting rules. The teacher then analyzed student performance, asked questions, and recorded student scores on the board to track their progress throughout the week. I also noticed how Ms. Yen Trinh used a variety of teaching strategies to engage all students in the lesson, including group work and hands-on activities. it was evident that she created a positive and stimulating learning environment for her students. On my second day of observation, October 5, 2024, I observed class 6D with Que Tran teaching history. First, the teacher asked the students about the review of the last discussion they had; after that, the teacher asked the students about the topic to introduce, and the teacher explained another game to the students. After the students knew the topic they would discuss, the teacher asked what their thoughts were on human origin, and then the teacher gave an activity to the students, and the students provided an answer.
The learning materials used by the student is book entitled "History and Geography Grade 6 Connecting Knowledge" in Vietnamese "Lịch Sử và Địa Lí lớp 6 Kết nối tri thức" that has content of History and Geography for sixth-grade students. The book covers various topics such as ancient civilizations, world geography, and important historical events, providing a comprehensive overview of the subject matter for young learners. The teacher used the teacher's guidebook to supplement the learning materials, which included activities and additional resources to enhance the student's understanding of the topics covered in the textbook. This combination of resources ensures that the student receives a well-rounded education in history and geography.
I also observed that the students actively participated in the activities provided by the teacher, demonstrating enthusiasm and engagement in the learning process. This level of involvement contributes to a positive classroom atmosphere among the students. In contrast to the common perception of history and geography as boring subjects, during my observation, the students showed genuine interest and eagerness to learn about the topics being discussed, which demonstrates the effectiveness of the teacher's teaching methods in making the subject engaging and relatable to the students.
